My Business Idol Mechanics
1. The Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the (CHED RO7) will invite 8 colleges and universities with Business Administration or Management undergraduate programs, which in turn, will send a single school team to participate in the My Business Idol Contest. This is will be held at the Cebu International Convention Center on August 14, 2008, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
2. Each participating school shall field their school team comprising two (2) bonafide business/management students and two (2) faculty members of the college and university. One faculty member shall act as a panelist, while the other faculty member shall act as the business coach to the 2 students during their business presentation and interpellation.
My Biz Idol bared
Four major schools and universities were set for a video shoot for the My Business Idol at the Coffee Dream Gorordo today. These schools were University of San Carlos, University of Cebu Lapu-lapu and Mactan(UCLM), University of San Jose -Recoletos and University of Southern Philippines. The competing teams also revealed their company names that they will be carrying during their final presentation at the CICC on August 14,2008.
The school representatives together with their coaches were given an orientation on how to pose on the camera and were given some tips on their business plan presentation conducted by Bobot Ramos.
The video shoot was conducted by the Blue Info Channel 45. Watch out for this episode.
Jude Bacalso to host My Business Idol
Jude Bacalso, a talk show host in "Jud Morning!" of ABS-CBN and a column writer in Sunstar Cebu is identified as the host for this year's My Business Idol of MCCI's Mandaue Business Month 2008.
Jude is a humorous, witty person and one of the familiar faces on Cebuanos television today.

My Business Idol Briefing
Representatives from USC-Main Campus, USJ-R, UP Cebu, Southwestern, University of Southern Philippines, UCLM, University of the Visayas responded on the My Business Idol briefing yesterday at the Cafe Laguna Garden. Rules and guidelines were discussed by Dr. Gretchen Chaves from the Association of Business Deans and rules were finally set.
The event is focused on making the student entrepreneur as the IDOL. This will be the first ever major competion in the field of business course and in line with the the celebration of Mandaue Business Month 2008 on August 14, 2008 at the CICC.
