PREPARATIONS are underway for a "nice and grand" Mandaue City Business Month in August."The big launch (of the business month) is going to be on Aug. 8," said Eric Ng Mendoza, president of the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI).Among the activities planned for the celebration is an expo that will feature the recipients of the Countryside Enterprise and Business Upliftment (Cebu) project of Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia. Various business establishments in Mandaue City are also expected to participate in the expo.Mendoza said that under the Capitol-initiated project, the MCCI had conducted a series of seminar-trainings on the basics—like how to start a business, marketing strategies and product development—for businessmen in rural areas.
